The Evil Twins, aka Anxiety and Depression
Anxiety and depression often present themselves in clients together at the same time. The clinical term is co-morbid, which in layman’s terms means you feel like crap. Like the chicken-or-egg question, it’s hard to know which comes first. It’s depressing to be anxious all the time, worried about stressors and stressful environments and people in your life. That said, constant worrying or anxiety, leaves you feeling down and depressed.
I find cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) very good at breaking that vicious circle of anxiety-depression-anxiety… Give me a call and I’ll help you analyze where your circle is weak and where we can break it wide open.
