Stress, Anxiety and negative childhood experiences

Negative experiences influencing the brain during childhood may lead to chronic anxiety and stress in adulthood.

The human brain develops relatively slowly, so there is a lot of room for our experiences to shape its development (Pinel 2018). Negative experiences influencing the brain during childhood may lead to chronic anxiety and stress in adulthood. Positive experiences however, like music, transfer from musical learning to non-musical cognitive functions including language, during a child’s development (Baptiste,  Mathilde, Francis, and Béatrice.  2013).
